My Very Own Harry Potter Series, Here Is The First Chapter

Harry Potter; A New Beginning
A New Day And Age
“Sir, but your past attempts have failed. You have never been able to kill Harry Potter. What makes you think you will succeed this time”, exclaimed Rockwood.
He glared at his master, pleading that his master would forgive him for saying so. But his master did nothing. He just replied calmly.
“This is a new day and age, with many new happenings out there. Harry Potter is older now, and even more think headed. You see with my new age plans, I shall succeed this time.”
Rockwood glanced around nervously. He was very much uncomfortable in this office. To his right was his boss’ very loyal servant, a large green snake. Rockwood paused before answering, glancing out the window before he replied.
“What is your plan, if you don’t mind me asking, sir?”
“Well, you see, at the stroke of midnight, one year from now…”
~
Harry awoke late at night. His scar was prickling every few seconds. He had that sick feeling in his stomach. He knew something was going to happen, but what? He looked over at the window, and shuddered. Something was out there, waiting for him.
It was almost five years after Harry’s graduation from Hogwarts. Since then, he had followed his fifth year dream of becoming an Auror. Even with the record he had, he managed to gain back the respect of those at the Ministry of Magic.
He frequently thought of those he has lost, his mother, father, and his godfather. He loved all three very much, and all had met their fate young. Voldemort’s grinning face was running through his mind.
He would have liked nothing better then to get his revenge on him. He killed his mother and father when he was a mere child. One of his death eaters and killed his godfather, Sirius, in his fifth year at Hogwarts. Sirius was one of the only people he could have a heart-to-heart talk with back then.
He wondered if Hermoine or Ron were awake at this hour. But decide not to call them. They were so used to his scar burning by now they just ignored him. After his most recent chat with Hermoine he decided he had to find a way to bring back his family. He figured that since it was practically five years since his graduation that there had to be a way to bring them back.
He questioned every one at the Ministry whenever he could, but no one would answer his questions. They would only tell him to get back to work. They still treated him like a kid…it seemed so unfair to him. They did not understand what he all went through in Hogwarts. He beat Voldemort more than his share of times.
He glanced over at the clock, noting what time it was. Four in the morning, he decided to get out of bed and get ready for work early. He hoped he would see Ron soon. He really missed him. After graduation he just seemed to disappear. Hermoine claimed she hadn’t seen him either. Harry kept sending owls to him, but never got an answer back.
He picked out his clothes and laid them out on his bed. He walked down the hall of his small, untidy apartment to the kitchen, and made himself some sandwiches. He hadn’t been out for a while, but decided he better clean up his place before he went anywhere.
He looked at the pictures on his walls while eating his sandwiches. There were pictures of his family up there, of Sirius, and then there were pictures of Hermoine and Ron. At the very end of the hall was the picture of his graduation from hogwarts. That was a day he would always remember.
He walked back into his room when he was done and got dressed. He looked over his bed at the picture of Cho Chang, and gazed dreamily at it. He had broken up with her a few days after graduation. She couldn’t stand a long distance relationship.
But for some reason Hermoine and Viktor Krum seemed to be able to keep their relationship working fine. What a character he was, he was so quiet all the time. Harry didn’t see what she saw in him.
He walked back to the kitchen when Hedwig flew in through the window with his copy of the Daily Prophet and his mail. He set them out on the table and looked. There was a letter from Ron.
Harry,
Hi, sorry I haven’t stayed in touch with you lately. I’ve been so busy touring the world with the quidditch team. I have some good news though. I am coming home for a few days. I was hoping Hermoine, you, and me could get together for some coffee. That’s if you don’t have to work. I’m waiting your reply. Talk to you soon…very soon
Ron
Harry finished reading the letter, and set it down on the table. He ran down the hall and grabbed some parchment. At long last he had his reply from Ron. He walked back down to the kitchen, and grabbed his quill. He set the parchment down on the table and started to write.
Ron,
I can make myself available to meet you any day. I need a break from work anyways. I have a lot to talk to about. Has Hermoine been writing to you? I wrote here a while ago and never got her reply. Hope to talk to you soon. Write back.
Harry
He wrapped the letter around hedwig’s leg and sent her off. He picked up the Daily Prophet and read the headlines. One caught his eye. He read it to make sure all the information was true. He still remembered when they had been telling the public about his “cock-and-bull” stories. From then on he could never be sure.
Escaped Azkaban Prisoner Caught Yesterday
The fifth escaped prisoner this year, Leiyenne Swanson, was caught yesterday by a local hero. Witnesses claim Harry Potter was at the scene, when a shop owner reported that she was lurking around in front of his store.
“She was looking in through the window at me and my costumers. One of them happened to recognize her and called to me. I looked over, and I also recognized her. I immediately called for help. She started to run, when Harry Potter caught here. Luckily she chose not to struggle”, reported David Rogers.
Local residents have been assured that no more prisoners will escape from Azkaban, as we are appointing Harry Potter and a few more Auror’s to guard instead of the Dementors. The Dementors are not doing their jobs properly anymore, and have all been fired.
On top of them being fired, 2 have been convicted of attacking Harry Potter back in his fifth year at Hogwarts. We now have reason to believe that they had joined He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, and have been attacking those who he has told them to kill.
This is all we have to say at this point.
He skimmed through the rest of the paper before looking at the time. He realized he was going to be late if he didn’t hurry. He finished his sandwich, grabbed the rest of his mail and ran out the door.
When he was out on the street. He stood waiting for the bus. He had to hurry to Azkaban. He didn’t want to be fired first day on the job there. He had been waiting for this break forever. He couldn’t.
He ran out the door into the street down to the corner to wait for the bus.
BANG
The bus had arrived louder this day. He got on quickly. Not even caring today if people were looking at him. He asked the bus driver to go fast today. But yet he knew he would be late. His stop was the last.
BANG
He started to look at the rest of his mail to see whom they were from. He saw one in writing that looked familiar. It was Cho’s writing, but why would she be writing to me, he wondered.
He opened it quickly skimming over the familiar writing. It was a long letter. He would read it at work. His other mail was from Hermoine, Dumbledore, and Lupin. He would read them when he got home. But he wondered why Lupin and Dumbledore had written to him.
BANG
He was at Azkaban.
“Last stop everyone off”, the driver said.
Harry got up hastily and walked off the bus slowly. He saw his co-workers were already here. He walked over to Tonks to say hi, but she turned away. She was obliviously still mad about him getting put in charge of them.
She simply told the rest of the workers that he only got the job because Fudge favored him out of all them. He hated when she was like this. She had moods some days.
“Excuse me, Tonks, I’m standing right here, and anyways, he does not favor me. Remember all the stories he had printed in the Daily Prophet seven years back?” “Well yes, how could we not remember? You remind us all the time. We are sick of hearing about Fudge’s stories. Especially from you”, she replied furiously.
She turned to walk away quickly, ignoring the pleas of the other workers. She walked into Azkaban, never looking back. She was just an attention craver.
“Ok guys, back to work. We’re late as it is. Ok I’ll cover all of the death eaters today. You guys can guard outside”, Harry said pointing to the two at the back of the crowd, “And the rest of you. Can wander the halls.”
As always Harry put himself with the death eaters. He loved to taunt them, and tease them. In return they said they would kill when they got out. Harry tried not to lose his temper with them and just ignored their comments. Threatening them that he would not feed them, if they didn’t keep their mouths shut. He would laugh and walk back to his position.
~
As the day ended Harry found himself more, and more wanting to read Cho’s letter. From what he had seen, it was a letter asking for forgiveness. He knew he would forgive her. She was a major weakness of his.
He went to Tonks and said his shift was over, telling her she could take over. She seemed pleased at this idea. Running quickly to his position.
“I’m heading home now, and I am upgrading you to guarding the death eaters. I’m going to take over your job.”
“Oh thank-you Harry, you won’t regret this.”
Harry quickly grabbed his stuff and ran off to catch the bus. He quickly pulled off his robes and folded them. Making sure to stuff them into his bag before he put in his letters. He didn’t want to ruin them before he could read them.
BANG
The bus had arrived just after he put his stuff away. He hopped on quickly and went to sit on the third story. He messed up his hair when he got on the bus. Just remembering his father used to do that when he finished. He couldn’t help but remember one of Snape’s memories.
He laughed at the thought of that memory, and remembered what Sirius and his father looked like. Then he remembered his mother. She was so beautiful. Just like in the pictures he had of her and dad.
BANG
He was at his stop, as he headed to get off, everyone stared at him. This time he cared, but wouldn’t show it. He knew they were talking about him laughing a few moments ago. He got off, and sprinted home. He opened his door, and headed for the bedroom. His bedroom door was open. He was sure he closed the door before he left. He peaked in to make sure no one was there. When he was sure his room was empty. He entered.
He found it disheveled. Even more so then the way he had left it this morning. All of the contents of his trunk and dresser were thrown all over his floor. His invisibility cloak was hanging on the bathroom door. He guessed someone had used it.
He muttered under his breath, “Who did this?”
Then someone jumped him from behind. Whispering in his ear.
“Don’t make any funny movements.”
It was a girl’s voice. She eased up and, he looked up to whom it was.
“Surprise”, said Cho.
“I didn’t expect you, or I would have cleaned up a little. Did you do this to my room?”
“No, it was like this when I got here.”
“How did you get in?”
“A spell, how else, did you think I flew in through the window?”
“No, I know better than that.”
“Oh…” she walked over to him and hugged him tightly, “Did you miss me?”
“Yes…don’t you see the picture of you over my bed.”
“Oh yes…I remember that day. It was so wonderful, wasn’t it?” she said dreamily.
“Yes…so why did come back? Did Roger dump you again?”
“NO, he did not dump me, I dumped him because I still like you”. She snapped back, “I came back because I was going crazy over you. I missed your light tough on my face.”
“Hum…remember fifth year at Hogwarts under the mistletoe?”
“Yes…”, She said gazing into the stars.
“We have a lot of catching up to do now, don’t we Cho”, He pulled her closer, feeling her chiseled body against his, “I really missed you, would you like something to eat?”
“Yes…in fact I would. What did you have in mind?”
“Well I was heading over to Grimmauld place for dinner with some friends.”
By friends he meant the Order of the Phoenix. He now belonged to the exclusive organization. Along with Hermoine. Ron would have been in but he is always on tour with his team.
“Grimmauld Place? Why there?”
“I never told you about the Order did I?”
“No…what is the Order?”
“Its an exclusive organization. I belong to it…they helped me defeat Voldemort a few times.”
She winced at the mention of his name, trying not to show the look on her face.
“Hermoine is not going to be there is she”, Cho said angrily, “If she is I am not going.”
He remembered the rivalry between them when he and Cho started dating. It was the year after Cedric died, he didn’t think she was ready to discuss him at the time.
“Yes, she will be there. She belongs to the Order too. I can’t help it. Please come…besides she doesn’t like me anyways. You have nothing to worry about.”
“Okay, but I’m only doing this for you. You do understand that we still don’t like each other…do you?”
“Yes. I understand perfectly.”
